LIAISON / INSPECTORKBEMS


KBEMS provides state-wide certification for first responders and emergency medical technicians, as well as licensure for paramedics and ambulance services for the state of Kentucky (KY). The open position, outlined below, will be located in the Western region of Kentucky.

Ensures that Ambulance Services (Ground and Air), Ambulances (Ground and Air) and EMS Personnel meet the minimum licensing requirements to operate in Kentucky. Works with Directors to meet statutory and regulatory regulations. Participates in training-the-trainer educational programs to provide consistent and current EMS education across Kentucky. Serves as KBEMS representative at meetings, conferences, symposiums, etc. Serves as resource/consultant to local and state government agencies and serves as liaison between leadership and local providers.

Positions with the KCTCS System Office are term contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on performance.

Required Competencies · Conduct EMS Agency Inspections to ensure compliance of EMS Statues and Regulations. Assists EMS directors and EMS responders in meeting minimum requirements with resources and mentorship. Completes violation reports and follow up visits as necessary to ensure compliance. This position requires extensive travel to ensure customer service for the Customers of KBEMS. · Conducts KBEMS required education for EMS Providers and Educators. · Mediates at District and Regional Meetings · Provide Consultation and assistance to local governing entities as needed · Serves as KBEMS Representative at Conferences, Symposiums, etc.

Minimum Requirements:  Associate’s Degree (Emergency Medical Services, Allied Health, Business, or related field), and five years related experience, or equivalent. Must be a KY certified or Nationally Registered Paramedic or eligible for credentialing as such. Preferred Qualifications · EMS Supervisory and or Administrative Experience · Educator or EMS Educator Experience · Excellent Communication Skills · Moderate Computer Skills (Including typing, MS Office Suite, Outlook, and ability to learn new programs) · Experience with an Electronic Patient Care Record · Familiarity of KRS 311A and 202 KAR 7 EMS Regulations · Problem Solving · Critical Thinking · Conflict Resolution

8. Never have been convicted of a felony or crime involving moral turpitude.
